I am an independent public policy and governance researcher focusing on safeguards and outcomes for vulnerable groups and on the effectiveness of public institutions in the UK.

This newsletter is where I publish open‑access, non‑party‑political analysis and longer‑form analytical papers that draw on my work on parliamentary evidence and pro bono casework. The aim is simple: to understand how key systems operate in practice and to suggest practical ways they could protect people better.
